This festival, held in Chandler, AZ, showcases the rich, cultural traditions of Mexico with a bright and colorful music festival. This year, the great Aida Cuevas is joined by Mariachi Aztlán to be the feature performance. They’ll be joined onstage by a dazzling group of Folklorico dancers. You will not want to miss the Grammy Award-winning Queen of Mariachi treat fans to her own rendition of legendary music from Juan Gabriel.
The 20th Annual Mariachi &Folklorico Festival will take place on Saturday, October 5 and begin at 7:00 PM. The Chandler Center for the Arts plays host for the event. The headline act of the event, Aida Cuevas, is an important figure in traditional Mexican music. Cuevas is held in the highest esteem in Mexican and has produced 39 albums over her 44-year career. She was the first female singer in the Mariachi genre to win a Grammy. Aida Cuevas is the only artist given permission by the estate of the great Juan Gabriel to tour and perform his music. Cuevas will bring a performance that only she can provide to the 20th Annual Mariachi &Folklorico Festival.
